Showtys Auto Repairs brings the shop to your driveway, your office parking lot, or the shoulder of the 101. Brakes, batteries, starters, check-engine lights, tune-ups — diagnosed and repaired on site, seven days a week.
What we do in your driveway
Most jobs that a shop would keep your car overnight for, we finish in a couple of hours without you ever leaving home. If a repair genuinely needs a lift or a machine shop, we say so up front and point you to someone we trust.
Brakes — pads, rotors, calipers
Grinding, pulsing pedal, or a car that pulls when you stop. We pull the wheels, measure the rotors, and replace what's actually worn instead of quoting the whole corner. Pads and rotors on most sedans and SUVs run two to three hours, done in your driveway. We torque to spec and bed the pads in on a test drive around the block.
Check-engine light & diagnostics
Full OBD-II scan with live data, not just a code read. We tell you what the code means, what it usually costs to fix, and whether it's safe to keep driving while you decide.
Batteries, starters & alternators
No-start mornings, slow cranking, dash lights that dim at idle. We load-test the battery and charging system on site and carry the common group sizes in the van.
Oil changes, tune-ups & scheduled maintenance
Full synthetic oil and filter, air filter, cabin filter, spark plugs, belts and hoses — the 30k, 60k and 90k services your manual lists, done at your curb. We keep a log of what was replaced and when, so the next interval is easy to track. Bring your own oil if you're particular about the brand; we'll use it and only charge labor.
Pre-purchase inspections
Buying a used car in the Valley? We meet you at the seller's address and go over it before money changes hands — compression, leaks, frame, codes, and the things a seller hopes you won't look at.
Fleet & small-business accounts
Work vans, delivery cars, and small fleets around Chatsworth and Van Nuys. We come to your lot on a schedule, keep the vehicles running, and invoice monthly.

Call and describe it
Tell us the year, make, model, and what the car is doing — the noise, the light, the smell. Nine times out of ten we can tell you over the phone whether it's a driveway job or something that needs a lift, and roughly what it'll cost before we drive out.

We come to you
We schedule a window, usually same day or next morning, and text when we're on the way. Home, work, apartment garage, or a parking lot — as long as there's room to work safely on that side of the car, we can do it there.

Diagnose, quote, repair
We look at it, show you what we found, and give you a firm number before we touch anything. You approve it, we do the work, and you pay when it's done. No diagnostic fee if you go ahead with the repair.
What we can't do on site
Anything needing a lift, a wheel alignment rack, a transmission teardown, or bodywork. We'll tell you honestly and refer you to a shop in the Valley that we'd send our own family to — no markup, no kickback.

Who's under the hood
Showtys Auto Repairs started in 2016 out of a single van and a set of hand tools, after years of working dealership service bays and getting tired of watching customers pay for things they didn't need. The idea was simple: do the same work, at the customer's address, and explain it in plain language.
Ten years on, it's still one mechanic and one van. That means you talk to the person doing the repair — no service writer in the middle, no upsell script, no waiting room. It also means we book a limited number of calls a day, so when we say we'll be there at 10, we're there at 10.
We work on most domestic and Japanese makes, plus the common European models. If it's something we don't know well, we'll say so rather than learn on your car.
